What was it like when you started doing art? This image is a reminder of my beginnings in fractal art. I was still in high school back then. Those were easy, carefree times and my fractals reflected it. I used white backgrounds a lot with bright and light colors. Now the 3d fractals are trendy and this style seems a bit obsolete... but I love this fractal anyway
Thank you for all favourites, comments, critiques and devwatches! It means a lot to me.
Well, it is very difficult. In my opinion, you need to spend at least 10 hours per week in Apophysis during the first few months. You need to create, create, create... otherwise you'll never learn how to use it. You can't expect very good results if you just opened it few times Patience, my friend, will deliver results. Good luck
I got on a dead track almost immediately really... Its interface confuses me, maybe I am too used to Ultra Fractal Anyway, I hope you like my new fractal manipulations, I am nowhere near your level of course but still
And did you try any tutorials for Apo? It's really easy with them. I wish there were so many tutorials when I've started doing fractal art. it would have saved me weeks of time spent on learning how to work with the interface. I've checked them out, they are nice Keep it up, you are doing good job!
I have looked at a few, but they all seem to expect one to be familiar with the program already... Which one would you recommend for me, experienced with fractals in UF, but new to Apo?
Also, I recently found out why I will probably never get a DD I saw someone's artwork and asked her how to make flowers, and she showed me how a single flower consisted of 8 fractal layers and 3 mask layers... Really I don't have that kind of level of overview, not even close, I tried to use layers in UF once and quickly went back to doing them in PSP, and even there I use 4-5 layers max
I'd suggest this one: [link] it's very straightforward and you don't need any advanced knowledge of Apo's interface.
DD is not about number of layers. I got DD on image that consists of 3 layers plus one final transform: [link] the flame is actually quite simple. You can make similar with the tutorial I've suggested to you And this flower: [link] it's basic shape is created by 2 layers plus one final transform and other layers are there just for the bubbles. Again, very simple. Anyway, I said that quite a lot of times, DD is not a very important thing. I have many images that gotten no DD and they are more popular than the ones with DD.
