Some people complained about my art (or fractal art in general) that it's just pretty images without meaning. I've been so fed up with this attitude that in 2012 I've started to put a brief description to every image to explain my vision in it. I used to believe that it's enough for people to find their own meaning in the image but after attending a seminar about literary interpretation (and after being bashed by several people on DA), I found out that some people simply need to see the author's meaning because they can't come up with their own. Sometimes I feel silly doing that but it's nice to have a discussion going on about the concept I put in the description, rather than simple commenting on the visual effects No problem.
Most all art has some meaning to it; you just have to put your feelings into it and believe that it does. With some art concepts and mediums it is easier for many people to relate to it, but more difficult for many others. But regardless of the type, mass producing art like from a factory and merely labeling them with numbers makes it seem like they are completely commonplace no matter how unique it may be, especially when the artist herself doesn't take the time to give any some form of attention and just continuously produces more. It's okay for art to just be there to look pretty sometimes, but sometimes it's nice to have something with that special touch. Every now and then. And people will be people. You'll get remarks from every part of the spectrum, from those who think they truly see a deeper meaning and those who can only see a reflection of their own experiences, and those who see nothing at all. It's best not to mind any of them too much. Just enjoy making art. For yourself, more than anyone. Hmm.... he has some very intriguing fractals, they seem to be organized in a certain way, although I don't see it. It's not just anything random or straight up "1," "2," "3," etc. A lot of the fractals allow one to just stare and interpret what they are seeing. It gives many different results. There's a darker (but not evil, morbid, or malevolent) aura about his work that makes one think of lifeforms and nature-like embodiments. Things like cell division, mysterious and small creatures, and space. It's difficult to describe, but it's very interesting.... how unorthodox.
